ayabie, one of the long-standing bands in the Visual Kei scene, has officially announced their disbandment. The news comes as they prepare for their final East Japan tour, Goka no Wasure Yuki, set to take place in April and May 2025. This tour will mark the last chapter in ayabie’s 21-year journey, offering fans one last opportunity to experience their music live.
Since their formation, ayabie has been a key part of the Visual Kei movement, captivating audiences with their unique aesthetic, emotional melodies, and ever-evolving sound. After celebrating their 20th anniversary last year, the members took time to reflect on their careers and future aspirations. Ultimately, they decided to move forward separately, choosing to part ways without regrets.
While the news may be heartbreaking for fans who hoped for the band’s continuation, the members expressed their deep gratitude to everyone who has supported them over the years. They acknowledged the invaluable experiences and memories shared with their audience and within the industry.
ayabie’s final tour will include three performances:
- April 18, 2025 – Osaka BananaHall
- April 19, 2025 – Nagoya SPADE BOX
- May 6, 2025 – Tokyo EX THEATER ROPPONGI
With this farewell tour, the band aims to provide a fitting and emotional conclusion to their career, inviting all fans to celebrate their music one last time. The members—Aoi Mukai, Yumehito, Takehito, Intetsu, and Kenzo—will take the stage together for these final performances, bringing closure to their journey as ayabie.
As they move forward on separate paths, they hope for continued support from their fans in their individual endeavors. While ayabie’s chapter in Visual Kei may be closing, their music and impact will live on in the hearts of those who followed them through the years.
For those who have been part of their 21-year story, this final tour will be an opportunity to say goodbye—not with sadness, but with appreciation for the music and memories they have shared.
