The iconic “Sonic the Hedgehog” franchise is taking its beloved music on the road again with the newly announced summer dates for the Sonic Symphony World Tour. This unique concert experience blends rock and classical music to celebrate over 30 years of Sonic’s history.
Since his debut on the Sega Genesis in 1991, Sonic the Hedgehog has become a cornerstone of video game culture, with its music playing a crucial role in its enduring popularity. This summer, fans have the opportunity to experience the franchise’s rich musical legacy live, with a full symphony orchestra and rock band, including performances by legendary composer Jun Senoue and lead composer Tomoya Ohtani at select events.
The summer leg of the Sonic Symphony World Tour will kick off on June 2 in Paris, France, at Le Grand Rex, before making its way across the United States with stops in New York, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Greensboro, and San Diego. Each performance promises to deliver a nostalgic yet fresh take on classic Sonic tunes, making it a must-see event for fans old and new.
Co-produced by SEGA and soundtrec and presented by MGP Live, the tour promises an immersive experience, with a setlist featuring music from the original games to the latest release, Sonic Frontiers.
